I mentioned in my previous post that I was teaching Bender to go 'through' my legs. I had to get hands on with Bender as he was just dancing around and getting frustrated so I gave him a bit of physical guidance as well as luring with a treat. This is the result after a couple of sessions.
He gets it but I think my flailing arms are confusing him a little. He seems proud of himself that he learned a new trick though!
N got home from a swing at work and I showed her the new tricks. She was impressed.

She has always thought greyhounds to be a very gorgeous breed. Thank goodness you can't find greyhounds where I'm from, or she wouldn't have adopted me!

What was she saying? She better not be having ideas now. Just thought I'd drop by again to let you know I gave you an award! Hopefully you have some time to drop by and pick it up. =)

ahah Bender seems only to walk under Barbie when he has his leash attached ... understandably, Barbie is not all too keen on it in that situation :)
and yeah the cats and Barbie all want in! They want to know how to get some of the yummies that Bender is getting!

I have seen agility people teach their dogs to weave that way. Too hard for me being short and having greyhounds!!

The way we learnt it was actually for my human to throw a treat through her legs, starting with me in front - this gets me used to going through her legs quickly & confidently. Once I'm going it really well, she just pretends to throw the treat but keeps it in her hand - but by then, I know the hand gesture already so I will still go through. But when I can't find the treat, then I will come round the front and that's when she feeds me. This way I learn to go through and come round to the front without needing my human to lure me (which is really hard when you'be got a tall doggie like me and a short human like mine!) - once I'm going that well, my human gets me to come round to the front from both left & right. When I can do both sides, she then only gives me a treat when I've gone through the legs twice and gone come round front on BOTH sides (ie. once left, once right) - that's pretty much the figure 8 and the start of proper weaving. When I can do that really well, with her standing in place, several times - then she starts getting me to do it when she is walking. But I learnt all this slowly over several sessions.
Anyway, it looks like you're doing great but if you're having trouble, maybe you'd like to try it my way and see...
Hope this helps!
