Bender had the time of his life this morning...

Just goes to show, you don't need to have a huge backyard in order to have fun. Our courtyard is more than enough. You can ignore the fact that it is just mud with patches of long grass. Dogs don't care about aesthetics!

yes,,,,.... though I don't think he realised that playing in the mud means that the bedroom door would be closed and he would not get to nap on my bed all day!
I've had little dogs who could get all the exercise they needed by running round and round on a bed.

I'm sure they would have preferred mud though.

yes, it is always the prettiest little dogs who seem to be the most attracted to nasty mud and other stuff!
Man, he's a cool dog!! Mud and all!!

lol, yes, cool.... like a pig in mud hehe
Lol, way to go, Bender. Frankie would agree with you ... and like to join you. Mud is always better when shared around and Beryl doesn't think she needs a mud pack!

Barbie very rarely plays in the dirt like that. Bender was nuts, digging and jumping and running, and she stayed inside on the couch!
I totally agree, Bender!! :-) People always think that I need a huge garden – they are always telling my human that they must live in a mansion or something with acres of ground for me – but I actually always lived in small houses with courtyard gardens all my life! But my humans make up for any lack I taking me out to lots of different places and giving me good variety on my walks. We once met a trainer who said that dogs who live in small houses/gardens but were taken out a lot are actually luckier than those who live in huge estates but never go anywhere.

Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
