Honey's Dancing with the Doggie Stars!

OK for a bit of background, this video is my inspiration for my costume.... particularly the hair...I couldn't find the awesome pants anywhere though!

I am a child of the 80s, and I still love Cyndi and this song really makes me think of my relationship with my dogs. I know it's supposed to be romantic, but that kind of commitment is very much what it takes to be a dog owner!

Barbie looks a bit flat in this routine - this is because my camera was playing funny buggers and cutting out 30 seconds into the routine, so we had to do it about 7 times. More than enough to wear out a greyhound. I also have to admit that we haven't been training for this. She is asleep right now as I type this while Mittens is trying to attack my wig as it sits on the arm of the couch.

Aww, you two are great! The song is perfect! I love how Barbie did the crawl and then laid down all stretched out. Very graceful. :-)

haha I thought she wasn't going to get up after she flopped over on her side!
Oh, I think you guys did awesome!! I loved the forward & backwards move you did together - so elegant and so well synchronised! And of course, that cute trick where Barbie puts her paws up on your chest, And her wave! I thought she did so well = especially if this was the 7th take! My God, if that was Honey, all I would have had was a shot of her snoring - hee! hee!

And wow - talk about costume!! I think it shows wonderful self-confidence on your part - I love it when people can have a bit of fun and not take themselves too seriously! :-)

Thank you so much again for all your time & effort supporting our contest - especially as I know what nightmares you'd been having with your camera - we really appreciate it! And yay for greyhounds!

hahah I love that wig, I think I am going to wear it to the Tour de France and run along side the riders with it on, try to get on proper TV!

I tried to get Barbie a denim collar but ran out of time to get one made and shipped... ;)

thankyou for the motivation to do something delightfully silly on the internet! :)
Bravo Bravo! Well done Barbie! Mom loved the costume!!

Oh, that was so good:) All your hard work has paid off, Barbie is like a normal dog, lol. I love your costume, especially the wig.

How is the biking with the kids going?

It's been freezing and raining so I haven't wanted to take them out separately, which is what I need to do for biking training, so unfortunately no progress... :P I have been trying to get Barbie used to a different harness but she seems to not like harnesses at all and will walk painfully slowly at times...

I had to pack the wig away so that the cats would stop trying to kill it!
I loved your dance, especially the scary googly eyes! Your bottom muscles must be super strong to be all dancing on your back leggies like that. Good luck in the competition.

Slobbers,

thanks Mango! good luck to you too! Barbie is like a highschool jock, she is covered in muscles ;)
Oh, Barbie is so elegant and lovely! She looked beautiful in silhouette, and moved to gracefully. And her tail was still wagging after all those times you had filmed it! The title of the song, 'Time After Time' seems funny, seeing you had to keep refilming!

LOVED your costume.

she is a big tail wagger :) she often hits Bender in the eyes with her tail... especially when I get home and she is super happy ;) thanks for the compliments tho, and Barbie says 'of course I'm graceful, I am a Greyhound Princess!' ;)
Very cute! I've really gotten a kick out of everyone's routines. :-)
