Froufrou and Mittens in a Battle for Supremacy...

OK, so we have had a houseguest for the last week, and she found it very strange that I went running for the camera when I saw Mittens and Frou Frou on the cat tower at the same time! I didn't know what was going to happen, but I was pretty sure something would happen....the cats have a bit of an ongoing war for high ground in the house. It's a strategic war and very rarely leads to a physical confrontation, usually there is just a lot of posturing. With the cats, possession really is 9/10ths of the law, and so whoever occupies the high ground the most stakes a claim.

I won't make any more comments here as it will spoil the ending, but let's just say, there was a clear winner this time.

Ha ha ha! I guess there was a clear winner. Although I have a feeling that while the battle has been won, the war may not be over...

This scene is familiar in my house. At least it's not the dogs and cats. :-)

That was a cute video! :-) but I have a (probably stupid) question - how do you know when they're really "fighting" and when they're just playing with each other? I know I couldn't hear the sound effects in that video but from the bit I saw, it didn't look that different to Muesli when she's batting her paw around, play-hunting with me or Honey?

ps. you seem to have lost your comment discussion thing??

these two don't make much noise when engaged in combat but it's definitely a battle ... they twitch tails and one of them usually ends up running off (defeated)

not sure what happened to intensedebate for this entry! weird.
