It's hot!

Due to the weather, Barbie has been liberated from sleeping in her crate for the last three nights. There have been no little wet surprises on the carpet in the morning. Hurray!

It has been a little dull around here though. The dogs have not really wanted to do anything, they are too busy lying around panting. I have been busy reading all about snow and ice on the other side of the world.

Hopefully there will be a slightly cool change next week and our adventures can resume!

We got it all today, first snow, then ice pellets then freezing rain and finally supposed to get rain over night. I would be happy to send you some :) The tile floor must feel a little cooler for them anyway. Hope you get a break from it soon!
It warmed up here for a couple days, which was a kind reminder that the cold will soon be gone, and the hot and humid is not too far away. The furkids definitely like the cooler weather.
So glad to here Barbie is doing OK out of her crate. Stay cool!
I could send some snow there, Finland has enough already :)

It's not hot it's bl**dy freezing! I've just helped Mum scrape ice off the car! Deccy x
We'd be happy to send you all the snow and ice that our yard is covered with. :-) I've passed on a Pawsome Blogger award to you.
I got the fan out one night a couple of weeks ago for Beryl as she wouldn't stop panting and looking at me expectantly, but haven't used it since. We've had virtually no summer to speak of so far, but hopefully it will pick up sooner rather than later before the days get too short to enjoy it.
I'd be happy with a brief heat wave right about now. I can't really complain, though. Last winter was brutal, but this one has been remarkably mild so far. We found a tick on the puppy last night, which amazed me in January! It hasn't been cold enough to kill anything. I fear what kind of mutant bugs we'll face next summer! lol
Cool tiles...what a great idea! Shame we don't have any in our household (except in our bathroom, which is barely big enough to hold 1 human, never mind a Great Dane & a cat!)

I have to say - whenever I feel like complaining about how hot it is over here, I just look at one of those weather maps of Australia and see how hot it is in Perth!!! It's the one thing that's putting me off the city...still, I suppose if you manage to get a place with AC, it won't be too bad...and Paul tells me it's a "dry heat", unlike horrible, humid Queensland...although I think hot is still hot!! :-)

Yeah, you would want air-con for Honey I think! We don't have aircon but both the dogs are young and they adapt to the heat. It is a dry heat, which is easier for dogs to deal with than humidity, but then didn't you say somewhere you grew up in Dubai? Perth isn't as hot as that =)
Oh, but they have airconditioning EVERYWHERE in Dubai!!!! That's the thing with truly hot countries - you never really feel the heat coz EVERYWhere is air-conditioned...whereas I find it much harder in places like Australia which are only hot part of the year, and so many people just "make do". But yeah - we're definitely going to be looking for a place with AC (assuming that Perth is easier to rent with dogs than Sydney, of course! We had a whole list of "essential requirements" when we started looking in Sydney, which gradually got shorter & shorter as we realised how many sacrifices we had to make in order to just find a landlord that would accept big dogs!!! )
